Dear [FIRSTNAME], It wasn't easy, but somebody had to do it. The IdeaTango team spent its weekend evaluating all the inventions submitted to our contest and were able to pick a winner based on the judging criteria.
Inventions were scored on 4 criteria:- Public rating - How well other members rated their invention compared to the other submissions
- Uniqueness - We asked if the product was different from products in your local store?
- Marketability - Was there a need for this product? Would US consumers buy it?
- Quality of submission - Was the product and it's benefits clearly explained in the submission? Were there no spelling errors? How far along in the patent process was the inventor? Did the submission include pictures?
After all that, we had a close, but decisive outcome. The grand prize winner of a FREE booth at the 2008 Invention & Idea Show goes to... - Tom Carville of Johnstown, New York, whose trademarked and patented product, the Slidewalker, impressed our judges.
The runners-up included: Congratulations again to Tom and a sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to submit and vote on the inventions. Although this contest is over, we have more contests with Tens of Thousands of $$s in prizes and other companies looking for your products. Find out more in our Contests & Products Wanted page.
