Have the ideas, but not the technical skills 1 Year, 2 Months ago
I am really frustrated. I have two ideas that are great (if I do say so myself!) but I don't know what the next step is. I do not have the electronic/ technical skills to create a prototype. I have drawings and ideas for materials, and I have no idea where to go next. How do you get your ideas developed? Do you partner with someone who has those technical skills, go to a company? How does this work? Thanks!

I have started up a free drafting and design company. We will draw up, and even design if you do not already have a design, your idea using the latest Computer Aided Designing (C.A.D) software. Please feel free to stop by, the website is www.thinkanddesign.com. If you have drawing that all already good, than i would say yeah, try to get someone to invest in it, but it is very hard, most company don ot like soliciatation. They way people sue these days, can you really blame them. You can also have them built yourself and shop local reatilers and they might stock them for you and you get a profit. Hope this helps

Developing ideas into reality is different for everyone and every product. I have made prototypes out of cut up soda bottles and toilet paper rolls. I have also had to hire engineers to make a product of mine. If you are an idea person, then be as creative about your models and prototypes as you are about your invention. As for finding reputable service providers I recommend posting what you are looking for on this site and ask the members for good company recommendations. You can also search the Business Directory on this site. Good luck!
