Hi -

Often, patent holders pursue companies that can sell their product much more effectively then they can. This is the basis for a licensing deal. If you hold a patent and can demonstrate to a potential licensee that your product is worth the risk for them you may have a chance. You may want to ask Stephen Key who is an expert on the subject for IDea Tango....

Joe, to answer your questions:
I have no doubt that inventors have used our site to connect with manufacturers, prototypers, and licensing agents. However, we don't want to get in the middle of any parties because it costs a lot of time and money. If we tracked these connections, then to compensate for our time and energy, we would have to take a cut of the licensing royalties (which you and us both don't want to do). So sorry I don't have a better answer, but it's better for the inventor that way.
Second, IdeaTango does not license inventions. We only help educate the inventor, give them useful web-_base_d tools, and then connect them with the people who can help them license their product.

On that note, however, I will say that because IdeaTango is now part of InventBay, we do invest in inventions that we believe have potential. In order to have your invention reviewed by our company for possible investment, you must list your product on our website www.inventbay.com.

I hope that helps!

Bryan
