Top 3 DO's - Email and call magazines and newspapers (contact the editors) to let them know about your new product, email or call the trade magazines that pertain to your product category to let them know about your product, and exhibit at a trade show so retail buyers can see your products up close and personal!

Top 3 DOnt's - Do not spend money on running ads for your product at this early stage of your business, do not hire expensive or unecessary employees to work at your new company - do as much of the ground work yourself, and do not spend lots of money on developing your new product until you first do some consumer surveys to see what potential customers think of it.
