Good for you! You are an exception to the rule and I am certainly qualified to speak on this subject with my many experiences...

I have never suggested that people not attend trade show...I suggest that people do not stake their lives on them when money is tight. Most people need to exhibit at many shows so that buyers see them and realize they are in business to stay. I have met countless people who have spent thousands of dollars doing shows thinking Wal Mart or Target was going to come in and place a 100,000 order...it just does not happen. I would be curious to learn just how much business you did at this trade show if you care to share...

Anyway, good back and forth and appreciate the comments. The lesson is - consider trade shows of course...but don't bet the farm on them.
