I have an invention , but what to do next? 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello

I am a new inventor and I have an invention ,it`s a new device for building fire escape , and now I am very puzzled because I don`t know what to do next .Though I work hard to try to promote it ,but so far it still seems hopeless .

Is an invention really a nightmare for one poor inventor?

What shall I do ?
Thanks for your time.

Inventing is easy, Marketing is not. I have worked with a client who had great success selling a Fire Ladder in SkyMall, so it is possible. Do you want to license or make and sell your invention? I looked at your website but I can not tell what it is. I would recommend you explain how it works better for starters.
Good Luck!

I had a similar instance. I knew I had to start with my invention at the top and establish it because I started with about $500.

I went first to FDNY and spent a good amount of time in person with the highest of directors testing. All testing could not have gone better. I also tested with EMS for saving lives retrieving victims faster and preventing injury to rescue personnel so they may keep moving a patient. That all went perfect. Proven.

Fire Departments very much care about what you have! The bigger ones anyway that direct the citizens on fire safety and prevention. Start the calls...work it through the FDs to get solid research. The FDs will also direct you to Fire safety schools which research fire safety for all.

You have to take these steps and prove your device. I would also get a website. ALL inventors NEED a website. Emails die out and don't go too far in the first place. You will need to call many prospects and you will need a website (even if it only shows technical drawings); the website will explain the full concept while you and the person are on the phone.

That's what I did...and I would not do things any other way. Ooops....sorry...you do have a website! You know what you are doing! Just keep trying...is a matter of endurance sometimes more than anything with inventions.
