Resources to find existing inventions 1 Year, 2 Months ago  
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction (ie: website) to see if my "hot" idea for an invention has already been snagged by someone else.

Is there a data_base_ of all the inventions in the world, or is it done differently in other countries. I live in Australia, so if I have an idea that hasn't been patented here, is it open game even if there is a very similar product in the US?

Wow, I don't know how I missed this question, I am so sorry for the late reply! If it is a patented invention, yes, try www.google.com/patents. If it is not patented, just Google the idea. Hope that helps!
