Need help with Licensing 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I am trying to find a company that will enter into a licensing agreement with me for my Jewelry Go Round. I am disabled and unable to attend trade shows or meet with executives, but I would like to see my product make it to market.
The Jewelry Go Round is very versatile. It can be made from a multitude of products and a wide range of colors and patterns which lends it's self to a large market segment. Chipboard, for a low end cost, arylic for the medium, flocked and fabric material for higher end market. The re-sale is a great factor since it is designed to be totally transportable and interchangeable with other units..
Lambert & Lambert did an anaylsis for me and rated it in the high range... Will go great in Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree etc. Teenage market will love it, expecially with hot colors or a stobe light center post... $19.95 Chipboard, $29.95 Acrylic....
Waiting to hear from you!!! let me know what you think!

For what it's worth, I believe your take on things and I've seen less practical and innovative things on the shelves of the stores you mention; and as they are active here, your question is ideal for Stephen's site "Invent Right" which is all about licensing (I'm just giving you that data as I don't see anyone answering your post; I'd go there and explore to find out more about your options and all that jazz!~)

Hello Idennig! I am not sure I hear a specific question in your post, but my immediate thoughts are as follows:
Licensing does not require you to go to trade shows. It can make it easier, but I licensed most of my products using the phone/fax/internet exclusively.

Compile a list of prospective vendors/manufacturers who could make and sell your product by going to the stores and collecting the information off the back of packaging of like products.

Then call and ask for their submission policies, if they indeed license products.

Finally, submit a well thought out Spec Sheet on your product. Remember, this marketing piece needs to tell the prospect what matters most to them.
I hope this helps!
