Abstract of Invention: A heated element for preventing build up of ice and snow on trucks, trailers, RV's, busses Detailed Description of Invention: SPECIFICATION: The Road Safe truck and trailer winterizer is constructed of a high density, heat resistant rubber with a conductive metal grid molded into the finished product allowing it to heat up and melt snow and ice that accumulates on the top of trucks and trailers. The design is â??low profileâ?? so as not to add any more height than necessary, drainage holes are also present to allow for run off of water created from the melting of snow and ice. The grids can be made in section that connect by jumper cables to allow for various size trailer installations. The mounting screws will be aluminum to allow for break away for safety and will require two rubber washer per screw to keep trailer from leaking. The power source will be 12 or 24 volt DC electric to run off of the truck or tractorâ??s electrical system with a switch mounted in the driverâ??s compartment. The purpose of the Road Safe truck and trailer winterizer is to melt the snow and ice from the top of trucks and trailers before it turns into large sheets that are a danger to motorists when they blow off of the tops of trucks and trailers when moving on the roads.
